Chelan PUD Window & Patio Door Rebates (Chelan County Homeowners)
If you’re thinking about replacing old windows, you may be able to get cash back through the Chelan County PUD Residential Rebate Program — and in many cases, you can stack those savings with a federal energy tax credit. The key is choosing qualifying products and submitting the right documentation on time.

Who is eligible?
To qualify, you must be:
A current Chelan PUD customer, and
In a home that is primarily heated by electricity (permanently installed electric heat — space heaters don’t qualify).

Additional eligibility notes:
Existing homes only (no new construction)
Windows/doors must be installed in a heated living space (not unheated garages/sunrooms).

Efficiency requirements (U-factor)
To qualify:
Windows: U-factor 0.30 or lower
Patio doors: U-factor 0.35 or lower (per your program notes)

You can usually find the U-factor on the NFRC label/sticker on the product.
Rebate levels (per sq. ft.)
Rebate levels depend on your home type and what you’re replacing:
Single Family Home or ADU (4 units or fewer under one roof)
Single pane (metal or wood frame): $8 / sq. ft. (photo required)
Double pane (metal frame — no vinyl/wood): $6 / sq. ft.
Manufactured Home
Single pane (metal or wood frame): $15 / sq. ft. (photo required)
Double pane (metal frame — no vinyl/wood): $10 / sq. ft.
Multi-Family Home (5+ units under one roof)
Single pane (metal or wood frame): $25 / sq. ft. (photo required)
Double pane (metal frame — no vinyl/wood): $20 / sq. ft.
Single-pane proof requirement (important)
If you want the single-pane rate, you must include clear photos of the original windows/doors showing they’re single pane. If Chelan PUD can’t confirm single-pane from the photos, they can only pay the double-pane rate.
Contractor or DIY — both can qualify
Chelan PUD allows either:
Contractor installation, or
DIY installation

Deadline to apply + what you’ll need
Applications must be submitted:
Within 6 months of contractor installation, or
Within 1 year of purchase for DIY installation (per your notes)
Have these ready:
Receipt or invoice with cost + window/door dimensions
Proof of U-factor (invoice, receipt, or NFRC label photos)
Photos of original units if applying for the single-pane rate
One application can include multiple rebates at the same home
