Get Paid To Buy New Windows

Chelan PUD Window & Patio Door Rebates (Chelan County Homeowners)

If you’re thinking about replacing old windows, you may be able to get cash back through the Chelan County PUD Residential Rebate Program — and in many cases, you can stack those savings with a federal energy tax credit. The key is choosing qualifying products and submitting the right documentation on time.

Who is eligible?

You can usually find the U-factor on the NFRC label/sticker on the product.

Rebate levels (per sq. ft.)

Rebate levels depend on your home type and what you’re replacing:

Single Family Home or ADU (4 units or fewer under one roof)

  • Single pane (metal or wood frame): $8 / sq. ft. (photo required)

  • Double pane (metal frame — no vinyl/wood): $6 / sq. ft.

Manufactured Home

  • Single pane (metal or wood frame): $15 / sq. ft. (photo required)

  • Double pane (metal frame — no vinyl/wood): $10 / sq. ft.

Multi-Family Home (5+ units under one roof)

  • Single pane (metal or wood frame): $25 / sq. ft. (photo required)

  • Double pane (metal frame — no vinyl/wood): $20 / sq. ft.

Single-pane proof requirement (important)

If you want the single-pane rate, you must include clear photos of the original windows/doors showing they’re single pane. If Chelan PUD can’t confirm single-pane from the photos, they can only pay the double-pane rate

Contractor or DIY — both can qualify

Chelan PUD allows either:

  • Contractor installation, or

  • DIY installation
